Frequently asked questions
How to Return Your Jars
During Delivery: Simply leave your empty jars on your doorstep on your scheduled delivery day. Please send us a quick text or email in advance so our driver knows to look for them.
At the Richmond GAIA Farm Store or the UBC Farmer's market: You can bring your jars back directly to our pickup farm store during opening hours.
How to Reclaim Jar Deposits
When you return your empty glass jars, you can reclaim your deposit through one of two convenient options:
Earn Gimjang Points (Recommended)
Receive 10 points ($0.50) per jar credited directly to your account. These points can be redeemed for discounts on your next order.
How it works: Ensure you are a registered Gimjang member on our website. Once we receive your jars, we will manually apply the points to your profile.
Cash Refund
If you prefer a cash refund, please contact us via text or email at least 24 hours before your visit to our pickup location. This allows us to have the cash ready for you upon arrival. (On the UBC farmer's market, we will have the cash ready and you don't have to contact us in advance.)

Store our kimchi below 4°C in your refrigerator. It lasts best for 3 months but remains edible with a more fermented flavor after that. At 0°C, it stays fresh for over 6 months.
We deliver to Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, Surrey, Delta, and Langley on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Pick-up is also available at Richmond GAIA Farm. We're expanding our delivery area soon.
Our kimchi requires consistent refrigeration. Carrier shipping can cause temperature fluctuations, affecting quality. We offer local delivery and in-store pickups to ensure optimal conditions.
